Scheduled post failed
What to check when a Planner scheduled publish fails.
Scheduled post failed
Symptom
A post that was scheduled in Planner did not publish successfully.
Likely causes
- Social account disconnected or permissions expired
- Provider rejected media type, size, or text length
- Temporary provider/network error
- Wrong channel selected for the content format
Quick checks
- Open Planner and inspect the failed item status/error text.
- Open Connections and confirm the channel is healthy.
- Confirm the post media still exists in Files.
- Confirm you are in the correct Workspace.
Safe resolution steps
- Reconnect the channel if Connections shows it as expired or disconnected.
- Adjust text/media to match the provider constraints shown by the error.
- Reschedule or recreate the post after the fix.
- If the UI offers a retry control, use it once after fixing the cause.
What not to do
- Do not repeatedly force-publish into a disconnected channel.
- Do not delete unrelated Workspace data to “clear” the error.
When to contact support
Contact support if failures continue after reconnecting and revising the post.
Information to include
- Scheduled time
- Channel/provider name
- Exact UI error
- Whether reconnect was attempted
